Fantastic giveaway!

**This giveaway is now closed.

First of all, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful comments on our stairs! I am so proud of them and it has been a pleasure reading your sweet comments. Thank you so much!

I am SO excited about this fabulous giveaway! I know I say it all the time, but I LOVE my advertisers. Dimples and Dandelions is an online children’s boutique that I swear you are going to fall in love with.

Be prepared. I warned you. ;)

Their selection is like none I’ve ever seen online, or anywhere for that matter. They offer clothing for babies and toddlers, beautiful gifts, unique art, lighting and bedding and SO much more.

I found a few of my favorites just to show you a sampling…

What I love is many of the decor items could easily be used in any room – not just for a kid’s space. I adore each and every one of these rugs:

rugmarket_11-511 rugmarket_12-125D capel_3092_220b12-172

How fun would those be in a craft room, and office, a bathroom? There are so many possibilities. And if you did use them in a girl’s room, any one of them would work for a nursery or a teen’s room, easy.

The same goes for their fantastic variety of lighting. Of course there’s the cutie patootie stuff like this star lamp, perfect for a baby boy or toddler:

ws_bl_br_star_lamp

But this beautiful chandelier also work over a desk or craft table too:

Jubilee_7202

There is also an incredible selection of clothing – items I’ve never seen anywhere else!

They actually have cute boy’s clothes. Do you know how hard it is to find CUTE boy clothes? I don’t understand it. I so wish this was still available in the Bub’s size because this Momma would be the bees knees if I got this one:

city_threads_2009_cf_1_258OK, he thinks I’m the bees knees anyway. (At least for now!)

How perfect is this one for Easter?:

d_mo_baby_0140

And for you ladies with girls, you just better give up now. You’ll just die. How impossibly sweet is this hat?:

2pr1_grace_hat Check out this onesie…with a tutu sewn on. Dying:

feb16_2010_0009

There are unique gifts that any new Mommy (or Bub!) would love to have:

cadenlane_f08_0897 7_15_09_il_fullxfull_67734497

The decor items are just lovely. I love the detail on the hanging letters:

newarrivals_grace_framed_letters

And these height charts are so fun – the monkeys!! Oh, the monkeys:

oopsy_GC_74_Monkeying-Arnd_blue_np rbr_gc_lavish

I kept finding more and more I wanted to show you – told you I warned you. This art is so adorable:

odb_art_cherryblossombirdies_94_05 I ordered the “Woo Woo” (fire truck) birthday banner for my son tonight:

oopsy_BB_12_firehouse oopsy_BB_50_princess

There’s also a fantastic selection of furniture:

corsican_42646 TutuSeatCusions1

And last, but certainly not least, their bedding selection is like I’ve never seen!

I want this bedding in my room:

newarrivals_bella_babyl_in_lime

My girlfriend (hey Krista!) is going to DIE when she sees this one – sock monkey bedding:

na_Sock-Monkey-Twin

Seriously? Sock monkeys! They make me smile. (They also have nursery bedding in this as well.)

And their selection also includes bedding that any teen girl would love:

mb_amda_twin_3

See? Told you! Fantastic!!

Dimples and Dandelions has graciously offered one of you $50 free to use as you wish at their online shop! Yahoo!

You know the deal – two chances to win! First leave a comment here for your first entry. Let’s make these comments an extra fun read -- share the funniest thing a little person in your life has said. (If you don’t have kids, no worries – you don’t have to share. It’s just for fun.) I can’t wait to read these!

For your second entry, go to Dimples and Dandelions and check out their products. Once you find an item you love, come back and let us know in another comment.

This giveaway will be open until Friday at noon, eastern time.

I’ll start it off – the Bub says things that have us rolling all the time but it’s still mostly stuff only Mommy and Daddy “get.” ;) So instead, I’ll share something Stink Eye Sister said as a child. (She used to be so darn cute.) She used to pronounce Cosmopolitan magazine as “Cos-mop-eh-light-in.” We didn’t correct her for years and would laugh hysterically every time she said it. (Years!) I think she was still saying that way as a teenager. Ha! Love it.

Have fun, good luck and enjoy browsing!

Expecting our first grandbaby any day now, I soooo want in!
No funny little person stories yet, but next year I'm sure I'll have plenty.

jaesi said...

I love this out of the mouth of babes stuff!

Playing barbies with his 1 year older sister, I over heard my 4 year old son say "Hey Leah, Im gonna be the crazy ex-girlfriend okay? Okay Leah?!"

Katie said...

So the funniest thing my 4 year old has said lately. After the dr. left the room from his 4 year old check up. My precious, child of God whispered to me, "You know what my favorite part of seeing the Dr. was?"...."When she took off my pants." Then I prayed about not becoming a grandmother before he graduates high school.

BabiesandBargains said...

I would LOVE to win....My daughter and son say funny things all the time..My 2.5 year old calls the fridge the Fridge a Lata...My 5 year old when I asked if he wanted me to build his new razor scooter he said yes but can you not run over it with the truck like the last one? KIDS today lol

Michelle said...

Very cute stuff!
I have 4 little ones, 3 boys and 1 girl, and they keep me and the Hubs rolling on a daily basis.
One of my sons has a fetish with all things potty humor. He named the Squirrel that lives in our backyard Big Booty. That was 3 years ago and the thing still lives back there and it still goes by Big Booty.

Bonafyde said...

They have GORGEOUS stuff, wow! The funniest thing I heard lately was when my DS came home in a fit because a pair of underwear must have static clung to one of his pant legs while in the dryer.... unfortunately it became unstuck while at school and came tumbling out for all to see. I could just picture and it had me laughing... so I can imagine the laughter it caused in the kids in his class. He was upset but I explained to him that it was a funny situation that he had no control over and that he should just laugh it off too, cuz it just one of those thangs... besides at least the underwear were clean!

The Lincolns said...

I love the "I crawl the line" shirt because my hubs LOVES him some Johnny Cash.

Funny kid stories... oh man. Well, I used to teach 4th grade and when I was pregnant I announced it to my class but I was only 3 months, not showing yet. I told the kids that you couldn't tell because my belly wasn't baby yet, just fat. A few months later I had a noticeable bump and one student asked if my belly was the baby yet, or still just all my fat. I thought that was pretty cute!

Leah said...

My 21 month old daughter trips and says "ups". It makes me happy.

Amanda said...

My friend was babysitting her nephew, Cole, and I stopped by to visit. After about an hour he comes and sits beside me..
Cole: What's your name again?
Me: Amanda.
Cole: Oh... Amanda?
Me: Yes?
Cole: I love you.

Fast forward to a year later
Cole: Amanda?
Me: Yes?
Cole: I'm a person's worse nightmare.

This stuff is tooooo cute!

Gosh, I love so much of this and would LOVE to win.

That is such a cute website. Too addicting for my own good. I really like the pink stripe book holder because my little one loves to read and that is easy access for them.

Mandi said...

Those are so cute!

I'm going to go with a recent child's quote (he's been watching a lot of Dinosaur train): "We need to watch out for creditors!" (predators)

Danny and Lindsey said...

I don't have anything that my kids say that is particularly funny since they don't speak clearly yet, but I heard something hysterical in the park. A little boy was cracking pecan shells to eat with his mom. I guess he couldn't get it open so I heard "mom, can you squeeze my nuts please?" The mom looked so embarassed! :)

I looked and looked and looked some more and WOW, it is hard to choose a favorite. But here goes;

Loved it all, but loved some of the hair clips, and I really loved the art. My fave I think is the Dwell Garden Art.
Thanks for the chance to win! :)

Kerri said...

When my oldest daughter was 18 months I was pregnant with my 2nd. She went to a doctors appt. with me and when I was closing the lid on my urine sample (clear with blue lid) my daughter blurts out, "I blow bubbles". Kind of gross, but it's been 6 years and I still laugh about it!

The Aldridge Family said...

This site is adorable!
Funny Libby quote:
Mom, can you please hurry with dinner? CAuse once I've been excused I'm gonna run away to McDonalds on my skooter and get married. Ok? Thanks.
.....might I add that she's five.

Alissa said...

Oh my goodness, I would LOVE to win this one!
I don't have any kids, but I might possibly be expecting one. However, I do nanny right now. I don't have anything too funny to day, but I do chuckle every time the little 4 year old boy I watch says "lasterday". He combines last night with yesterday and doesn't know that "lasterday" isn't a word.

Kerri said...

I love the chandeliers. Either the black or pink to match the babies room.

I work in a preschool and float between two classes that are connected by a bathroom. One day I had two twin girls from one class and one girl from the other class in there at the same time.
The one little girl looks at the first twin and then the second and then at me. She said, "they match?" with a puzzled look on her face. I said, "yes, they are called TWINS!". I was rolling... it's funny to see things from a kids point of view. She had no clue that twins existed until that moment. haha

J.J. said...

Oh yeah - I peaked...and still the favorite is the tutu onesie!!!!!! That is tooooo cute!!!!!

Chablis said...

Oh my! I've been in love with Dimples and Dandelions for a LOoooong time! I've ordered a few things from them, but mostly just browse and dream!

My kids say hilarious things all the time. Here is a recent one off the top of my head:
My 4 yr. old had a friend over and her friend was complaining about my 16 month old boy, Henry. Lydia (my girl) leaned over to me and said, "maybe she'll like him better if you go and do his hair spikey."

Rachel said...

I LOVE the Cherry Blossom Birdies Wall Art. It would look perfect in my guest bedroom! :)

Ooh, fun giveaway! Funniest? Wow, that's kind of hard, but latest funny from my 3 year old daughter... Finished using the restroom, flushes the toilet and says, "Bye now, have a great day!"... to the potty. :)

Elaine said...

I love the Rock Guitar Romper.

When my brothers were very young they could not say the word refrigerator.

So this is how their conversation went:

Youngest brother says:
"Mommy keeps the milk in the kid-a kator."

Older brother responded:
"Not kid-a kator. It's EEE-kid-a kator."

Our family shared that story for decades.

My 3 year old was taking pictures, and he told his 5 year old brother to, "Say Cheese!". My silly 5 year old said, "cheddar!!" and all 3 of us busted up laughing.

Stephanie said...

So cute!

Funny things: We've been trying to explain to our two year old that Mommy has a baby in her belly and that soon he will have a baby brother. We thought he was finally sort of getting it when my husband asked him where the baby was. Without a pause he lifted his own shirt, slapped his belly and said, "right here!"

The Rodgers said...

I love so much on this site, but one of my favs is the Cowboy Weathered Art By Reesa - too cute!

Dawn said...

Ok, I don't know if this is the funniest, but it was my most embarrassing.... when my son was about 3yrs old, when he said the word CLOCK it sounded like FRUCK. I don't know why, but there it is. So in a store like target, he would start screaming out FRUCK FRUCK!! Which, of course, people didnt know what he was saying, and based on their faces, they assumed he was saying something akin to toddler-sailor-talk. I almost had to teach him never to say "clock". HAHAHA.

Sarah Robbins said...

We were playing two truths and a lie and my friend's five year old said, "My favorite color is green, I go to preschool and once I drove a motorcycle." Guess which one was not true?!

The Weathered Cottage said...

Oh boy. Ok so my son isn't talking so much yet, but when we were little my brother was getting ready for teeball and my sister was whining that she wanted a "cup" too!! And my mom said, "no you don't." Sis: "whyyy?" mom: "it's for his peepee!" ok. she said the real thing. But it was the FUNNIEST THING EVER to hear my sis wanting a cup, then my mom saying that to her. bluntly. funny.

mckenna said...

I heart it all! Especially the art. All of it. But the Perfect Balance Ivory Ballerina wall art would just fit perfectly in my daughter's bedroom!!

Rhonda said...

Wow! That is awesome! Count me in.

What a fun give away!
So, my four year old's favorite new phrase is "ooh la la"! When asked what it means she confidently replied, "it means 'oh my gosh' in Spanish". :)Gotta love it!

Heather said...

My little one doesn't have a big enough vocabulary yet to say anything funny. She sure does love to laugh though and we get a kick out of the times she laughs louder and longer than we do at a joke or something funny that happens even though we know she was only laughing because we were. =)

azmama said...

Love that cute shirt for boys!

My latest kid funny just happened today. My 3 year old son runs over and says, "Mom! I didn't know boogers could come out of my EYE!" Yeah, little dude has pinkeye. And then he proceeded to wipe said eye booger on my freshly cleaned carpet. :)

I said what? "A museum door opener!" LOL Last week he asked me to teach him what I learned in the circus!! Gong show!!

So that stuff is really cute!
I have three kids from 8-4 so there are quite a few things everyday that are quite funny, but one that sticks out is when my 5 year old said "Momma, how old are you?"
I said: 31, Why do I look old?"
Avery: "YEAH, expecially with those glasses on, You look really old!"
I said: Awesome babe, Thanks!

Salsa Mama said...

Let's see, something funny... My 3 yr. old son right now has a fascination with "moobs"--man boobs. He is always commenting on men we see and talking about their moobs. I always try to shush him before anyone hears, but you never know what might slip out of those little kids at any moment!

Jen. said...

This such a cute sight, thanks for sharing.

My son (now 8) LOVES oatmeal... but it has to be JUST right with the amount of water added.. not too soupy, not too stiff (as I would say). :)

Usually, in his precious words.. if it's too soupy -- it's too "fresh". One day it was obviously BEYOND 'fresh' .. and looking in the bowl he wailed, "MOM! I can't eat this .. it's really bad.. look how BLURRY it is!!" :D

Lorri said...

I love this giveaway! Can't think of a funny story to share but I'm enjoying reading everyone elses. :)

Oh, I have the perfect funny story for ya.

My 4 year daughter was having a special treat. (A Frosty from Wedny's) She was trying to drink it out of a straw but it was too thick. She came to me and said "Mommy, I can't drink it. It's too hard. I'M GOING TO GO TELL DADDY TO SUCK IT."

I was dying. Hands down, funniest thing she has ever said!

Off to shop now!

Debi said...

Although my little ones are no longer little, 20 years later, the following incident still makes me laugh. My kids names are Aaron and Angela. When Angela was about 4 years old she overheard me telling someone that I had some "errands" to run. Thinking that her brother "Aaron" was getting one up on her, she asked if we could run some "Angela's" too.

I LOVE this store! So cute! My little guy says to me the other day " Mommy did it hurt you when I came out of you?" I replied with "Yes buddy it did, but you were worth it!". He thinks for a minute and says," I am sorry I hurt you mommy, but it hurt me coming out too so you need to say sorry to me!". Haha! I about died!

OH, what a fabulous give-away!!
I have 3 kids and they are always doing or saying something funny...the one that comes to my mind though is when my son was really little we would always call him "stinker pot", but he confused it all and would call himself "stinky parts". Ha! It has been about 5 years since then, but we still laugh about it and he still gets called it from time to time by my husband.

Heidi@TheCraftMonkey said...

ooooh they have tons of cute stuff, but i really like the rock on socks & the hand painted guitar sneakers, how cute are those!!!

Rachel said...

This is probably not the funniest thing the little ones in my life have said but it's pretty cute.
For salad dressings, we've almost always had ranch and an oil selection. A few years ago, I started purchasing one of the oils that is made by Newman's Own. Of course, it comes with Paul Newman's face on the label. My daughter knows nothing about Mr. Newman but does enjoy his salad dressings. In fact, when she first asked for that dressing, she said "Would you pass the man ranch please?" haha!!! So now in our home, we ask for the 'man ranch' when we'd like some of Mr. Newman's dressing on our spinach.

Love the rugs by the way! What a beautiful store!

Oh, these items look lovely. Can't wait to check out their website. I hope to win. The other day, my 4 year old daughter said "whatever dude" and not in a bad, talking back kind of way. Just matter of fact. I couldn't believe it but I shouldn't be surprised b/c I use that phrase a lot so she picked it up from me.

Jamie said...

I'd love to win this giveaway - their stuff is amazing!

As for a funny comment, not too many yet as my daughter is still learning to talk. However, as I was getting ready to pick her up out of her crib the other day my foot slid underneath the rug and made a "sound." My daughter abruptly stood up, looked confused, and said, "TOOT." Thank goodness that was not her first word, but pretty darn close.

Backstory~ We celebrate our baptism anniversary with a meal. As we were going this year for my own I was trying to explain the reason and why it was important. She was three and wants to be just like me this year, LOVE! So randomly this is what came out of her mouth...
"Mommy when I get big like you I want to be appatized too!" She had confused the meal and the why. Silly little one!!!

So at age 4 when I took my son to his well child check up, they talked to him about his "privates" & how anyone who wants to see his needs to ask his Mommies permission 1st, then the doctor asked me to show an example if he could examine his "privates". After his apt. we went to Wally World & at the check out my sweet "monkey see, monkey do" told the cashier "IF YOU WANT TO SEE MY WIENER, YOU HAVE TO ASK MY MOM FIRST"!!!! ;)
What a great giveaway!

My DD2 has just recently discovered her "boobies"...well, the other night we all went out to eat, and being very proud of herself, she proceeded to lift her shirt and show the waiter her "boobies"...all the while screaming "boobies" over and over again! Then, to top it off she grabbed one of mine and yelled it again! I could've died right then and there...and our poor waiter! His face turned bright red!

K... here's my funny.
The other day I had all three kids ready to go... (all girls, so this takes some TIME) we are sitting in the car... I go to reach for my keys and they are NO WHERE!
UGH... I search high and low... STILL no keys!
Finally I get SO frustrated that I say to them... "Girls, we can't go to Grandma's house, because Mommy has lost her keys, and can't find them!" I am SO sorry!
I keep looking for them... thinking I'll find them, while my 4 year old was playing with her purse filled with all her favorite things.
About 15 minutes into the search I say... "Ugh, we're gonna be late, if I can't find these keys!"

She whips out her princess phone... (you know... the fake kind with the annoying beeps and tones) and says... "OH MOM! It's okay. I'll just tex Grandma and let her know what's going on here."
LOL LOL LOL LOL

She proceeded to chime away the buttons on her little phone with two tiny thumbs, and I couldn't help but laugh out loud!

SO FUNNY!

Shelley Smith

ps. for all who care... I finally found my keys, in the laundry basket, under about 20 POUNDS of clothes that needed folding...
ohhhh... the glamorous life. :)

I have so many stories and can't think of any! My niece has quite a personality. She's been known to refuse to eat her breakfast because the bowl didn't match her PJ shirt.
In response to whether she was lying today: "Yes! I'm a lion...and I'm going to jump on you and eat you!"
And she'll call mommy for kissies, then when my sister bends over to kiss her she sniffs real hard and says "what you eating?" She uses the kisses just to check up on Mom!

How great is this giveaway! My 3 year old Cameron came up to me today with a brown colored fruit snack (we call them gummies)and told me.."You know what Mommy..this gummy is brown..yes it is Cameron, good job...yeah it's brown like my poop!" And then he laughed hysterically! Geez...i just shook my head. And I certainly to know how hard it is to find cute boy clothing - don't get me started about that!

Oh my, it's so hard to pick just one, so I've got two! I have 2 boys, almost 3 years and 16 months.
I was at the grocery store with my oldest recently. There was a man right next to us in the deli. He was wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat (we live down in Texas, this is not uncommon). My son turns to me and says, "Look mama a cowboy is getting food too!" I could hardly control myself! Even the "cowboy" got a chuckle.

Here's another quick one. My oldest takes off his socks and starts picking at the fuzz between his toes. He shows it to me and says "Look mom, blueberries!!!"

My nephew was only about 3 or 4 when the very first Toy Story came out. My husband took him to see it at the theater and you know how the title "Toy Story" comes from the top of the screen and "flies" into the middle...? My nephew was just learning to read and yelled out "Hey! Letters can't fly!!" The whole theater was laughing. Super cute!!

I would love to be entered!

My son has so many winners. I'm not sure I can type what he said and not upset the filters, but it was at his class at church when the teacher said that they might not have pianists in their homes. My son piped up with "Boys have ....." (I think you can figure the rest).

I wish my brain were functioning well enough to remember the many comments of my 2 and 3 year old but the most recent involves learning about the difference between boys and girls. We just had a baby boy and our oldest immediately noticed that his pee pee is different than hers. We talked about how boys have a penis and girls don't. Later that day she says to my husband... "Daddy, are you a penis?" Semi anticlimactic but glad we nipped that one in the bud. The difference between being and having is so very important :)

When my youngest sister was about 3-4 years old, our mom had gone to McDonalds to get some hot fudge sundaes. When she got home, she said something about asking for peanuts at the drive-thru window, and they only gave her 2 bags. My little sister then went around the house yelling that "Mom has two nuts! Mom has two nuts!". We about lost it!

My first year of teaching I became engaged to another teacher at the same school. When I announced I was engaged all my students wanted to know to whom. I told them I "didn't know" and maybe they should guess. One of my favorite kiddos raised his hand and told me "Well, if it isn't Mr. Manning, I think you'd better let him know. I think he has a crush on you." So sweet! Another of my students asked me the same day if Mr. Manning took a shower every day because his mother said you need to marry someone who showers every day. So funny. Loved it.

I love the lighting and rugs. Too many wonderful choices.

My funny comment is from my daughter. After losing her first tooth, she informed me that all her friends were getting toys from the tooth fairy. All she had to do was leave a note and she would get what she asked for. After much discussion (by me) as to why the tooth fairy would not be leaving toys, I finally asked her, "where is the tooth fairy going to get toys from?" Her reply, "from Santa Claus of course!"

I would love to be entered into this drawing. My husband and I have no children but are in the process of adopting from Ethiopia. One of the baby carriers would be useful getting through the airport.

The night that we told our family that we were adopting from Ethiopia I asked my 6 year old nephew "if he was excited to have a new cousin?"His response, "Yes, because it will be the first African American in our family." I just laughed as I looked at my husband and said "Who knew a 6 year old looks for diversity in his family".

I don't have children of my own~but I do have two nieces that belong to my sister. A few years ago they were visiting my home (at the time I had a female roomate to share expenses) and Kirbi, the younger niece was about 4 then, and looked at me and my roomate and said, "Which one of you is the daddy?" We all just looked at each other and then burst into laughter. When I tried to explain to her about my roomate~she wouldn't take no for answer~in her child mind~every home had a mommy and daddy! Priceless! :>)

My oldest has always loved horses and when he was little his nana bought him rocking horse. After that everytime is would see a real horse he would call it a "Rocky" I didn't ever think he would start calling a horse a horse. So, how appropriate it was when he bought his first horse last year that he named it "Rocky" haha.

Wow cute stuff, and I've been reading some hilarious comments! Here's my input:
#1- Called the remote "merry mote" and now she's 12 but we all still refer to it as "merry mote".
#2- (5)Also uses the word "Lasterday" when referring to a time in the past.
#3-(2)Most frequent phrase: "I'n hungy" and I love it, it's so cute.
#4- (7 months)giggles each time he poots! Such a boy!
