Life has gotten in the way this week just a bit, so I’m going to finish up the little details tomorrow and then take pics this weekend. I will tell you, it is so beautiful. I’m not even kidding…I just adore this room. It is now our favorite in the house!
So bear with me – I have a great giveaway for you Squeezies tomorrow (you don’t want to miss it!) and I’ll post the room Sunday night.
Anyhoooooo…I thought I would share some lovely toddler rooms I’ve seen around the Net lately. They are a little heavy on the boy side, but I did that on purpose – I’ve mentioned before I think boys rooms are hard!
These are some of my favorites from Pottery Barn Kids:
LOVE the big fire truck print on the wall, love the molding, love the white and red together. And the chocolate brown on the walls and how it ties in with the bed is genius. They know what they’re doing, those Pottery Barn peeps!
A naval inspired room is so classic and fun, and with some added pirate-inspired whimsy it is perfect for a little boy:
That bed is the coolest! Here’s another:
Love the sail too. Do you see the rope and knot detail on the wall above the chair rail? And that navy blue…you know I’m swooning!
Of course this little girl’s room is adorable, but my favorite part is the massive memo board behind the bed:
Love how huge it is and love the bright green frame! This gives me an idea for our office…
There are a few lovelies in this one that stuck out to me:
The bedding is just beautiful. The branches with flowers hanging from them – you could SO do that! And the birdcages hanging are a great finishing touch.
Restoration Hardware started a baby/child line a couple years ago, and I’ve always loved how elegant their products are:

This one stuck out to me and now I know why:
Uh DUH. Same navy blue walls, same grayish blue ceiling, same (but much nicer!) built ins. And it’s all primary colors just like his room!
Someday I am going to have a window seat like that installed in the Bub’s room. Window seats make me all gushy – I’ve never had one but always wanted one. :)

Ohhh....I love so many of these rooms too! The first fire truck room...my li'l Bug would love so much! He and Mister Inquisitive share a room so I have to incorporate both of their tastes and still keep it from being too little for the 9 yr old. I want to do a vintage look with fire trucks, planes and trains...without it being overly themed. I also love those girl rooms...the pink/grey, brwn/pink and that one with the branches...love!! I can't wait to see yours...I know it is going to be great!

Love your blog. I have been looking for boys rooms ideas for a few months now. My hubby is in the Army we have just moved this week for the 10th time in 12 years, UGGGG! My oldest son is turning 9 soon and I have been racking my brain trying to come up with something for him. It is hard when you can't paint the walls. I know gasp...and he is so mature for his age it is making it hard. Can't wait to see your new room :)
I just rented a 1921 Bungalow and was given permission from the owners to do what I wanted to the house...as long as it's classic and in keeping with with era that the house was built. Down came the wall paper borders some previous renter put up in the kitchen and the bathroom, and after painting those rooms I'm going to tackle my four kids' bedrooms I can't wait to make twin headboards and I'm searching your blog for inspiration!

We went with a pirate-y theme, though, nothing over the top. Next up is an explorer/adventure room. I'm still working that one out in my head. Any ideas for that?
I redid Kiddo's room when he turned 5 this year. It is a Race Car theme, since that is what he is into right now. Nothing fancy. I did make the pennant banner valance. Here it link - ignore the messy room!

I went back and forth with how do decorate my nursery. I really wanted to do nautical, but with DH being a sailor I thought it was a bit much. I'm thinking ahead to a big boy room already!

I LOVE these rooms...but, let's get real...what kid's room is ever really that neat, organized, and un-destructed??? lol They sure are cool as all get out though -- especially the pirate ship beds!

I love the bed skirt on the girls room with the birdcages! The first Restoration room made me laugh. Was the teddy bear their attempt to turn it into a kids room? Have fun with kids rooms! It goes fast and before long they are moody teenagers!

One of the many things I've learned from TDC is not to take room photos at night! Unfortunately, I had not learned it before taking these photos, but you can still see the cuteness.

These are some of the cutest kids' rooms I've seen in awhile. I love to look at kids' rooms to get inspiration. My 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son share a room. My daughter loves light blue, no pink for her so a nautical inspired room would be a good idea for them. I still haven't done a thing to their room and we moved in over a year ago. Aw, I love that fire engine bed. My dad made a similarfire engine bunkbed for my brother when we were little and now my nephews use it!

Funny about that window seat, I walked upstairs when looking at the house we bought. There was a window seat in each boys room. Long ones. Like you, something I've always loved. They had 2 girls and the rooms looked so much different than now.
