ReplyDeleteWell, I didn't actually PLAN to remove the moldy caulk in the MBath shower today, but I mentioned it to my husband and he said sure, I'll take the shower doors off. So I removed the black caulk. (My hands hurt!) Then I noticed missing grout. And I read online that I should let it all dry out thoroughly, like for A WEEK! before regrouting and recaulking and I have never done grouting before. I have done three bathrooms worth of recaulking. So I guess this project is going to go into 2013!!! Maybe I'll call a professional...
ReplyDeleteOur deck needs cleaning and weatherproofing, for starters.

ReplyDeleteIt is so amazing how much you and I think alike... our styles, colors, shopping habits, etc. Our projects are so similar too... laundry in the basement, library wall, kitchen renos, craft room, bedrooms, family room I could go on and ON! It's like we have DIY in our blood and in our pocketbook for sure;) I so enjoy following your blog because, well it's like having a friend who relates to me. Even the way you "talk" on your blog... you CRACK me up. Where I live I am truly blessed with amazing neighbors on either side, but there is an empty lot across the road and I'm telling you, I would love to be your neighbor! Come to think of it, we kind of are... I live in SW Michigan, just a mile north of South Bend, IN. Oh, the fun we would have in our home remodeling adventures! I have to tell you a little secret though. We have been living in what we call "perpetual remodel mode" like for evuh ;) It wasn't until I started reading your blog that I began to realize I didn't need to hide that reality anymore. For a long time I avoided (like the plague) inviting people (new friends) over for a visit. Now I just show off our completed projects and explain that the unfinished ones are "works in progress"... please excuse the dust:-D Thank you for the time you spend sharing your life and DIY experiences with the rest of us "perpetual remodelers" ;-) BTW if I win the True Value gift card you can be sure it will be put to good use! But even if I don't it has been great fun "chatting" with you. This is the first time I have ever commented on a blog or is that obvious;) Wishing you your best year ever!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely like so many others with so many projects in the wings! Thank you for giving us all a chance for a little boost up! :-)
ReplyDeletemy next big project is painting all of my kitchen cabinets - no easy task, and one i'm actually dreading a bit, but it's long overdue!!

I really want to pave a patio space in our back yard. This would be a great starter! Thanks for the chance. I love following your projects.

Boy that would make a dent in my list. I need to create better storage in the basement, refinish kitchen cupboards, paint 2 walls in the kitchen, bath needs paint and new tub surround, I'd like tile. 3 lights need replacing, I need to finish some moulding form putting new linoleum, and too much more. Just a few things need doing around here. Thanks for a chance at a great giveaway.
