ReplyDeleteOooh, yay! We are tackling some big projects this year. We have 7 kids, aged 23yo to 9mo., 1 girl, six boys. Yes, six boys. When my oldest got married and moved out, we ripped out her room to make a formal dining room. We need to tape, float and texture the ceiling and walls, put down wood laminate throughout the living room and new dining room, and decorate (finally!!!). I have been very patient - it's been a loooong process with so many little boys running around - but I see light at the end of the tunnel! Oh, and I am with you on moving the laundry to the basement! That is on my to-do list, as well! miamomof7atgmaildotcom
I plan on decorating my master bathroom and bedroom. This gift would be a great help.

ReplyDeleteI am currently working to redesign my small apartment living room into a living/creative/meeting space with a mediterranean feel. It is not only my social down time room, but must satisfy criteria as a client meeting room.
Wow! What a great gift. I'm hoping to get my bathroom reno done in 2013. I purchased a copper sink vessel back in 2009 when I was in Mexico and had it shipped home... Hoping that 2013 is my "lucky" year to finally get that installed.

So...alarm goes off at 5:00am this morning. Hit the snooze. Hear a crash...close by. What?? Shuffle into bathroom. Perplexed as to why towels are on floor covered in chunks of something. Stare. Keep staring trying to process. Oh. Right. Towel bar has fallen from the wall pulling chunks of drywall with it. Vibrations from the alarm clock in the adjoining bedroom? Insert 'bad' word here. Great I think now it goes with the peeling drywall surrounding the tub / shower enclosure. Nothing like fretting at 5:12am on the last day of the year when everyone in your house is still fast asleep and you have to go to work. Heavy sigh. Pull up TDC when I get to work and day is instantly brightened thinking I may receive one more much needed Christmas gift in the form of a $100 gift card to ACE Hardware. Kismet? Going to work on dining room. It is sort of a pass thru from living room area in the front of the house to the family room in the back of the house. Narrow and only one wall that connects from the living room all the way through the family room. Cant quite figure out what to do to define the room.

ReplyDeleteWho doesn't have projects to do this is AWESOME! Last night my husband and I awoke to water dripping in our window sill. I don't know if it's the roof or the window but drip drip drip I am crazy this morning! What sleep I didn't get that OH here comes my 3 year old early to snuggle (highlight of my day) no more trying to sleep for mommy, where's the coffee? I want to cry. My sink clogged up on Christmas too did I mention that. Yeah I still haven't had a plumber come out yet. I am overwhelmed. We're renovating little by little but I feel like it's falling apart first.
