  29. We aren't doing resolutions this year and instead are going to just work on tasks. That sounds much more pleasant anyway. :) We've spent so much time in the past two years helping family members with their projects, it's been fulfilling but also disappointing to come home afterwards and see everything unfinished....
The top of the list, depending on weather is painting over the old white paint that all you do is look at it and it stains, repairing kitchen tiles, ripping out counters and replacing them (really not looking forward to this) and that's just the inside list, LOL..... Yardwork, well, that's another lengthy sheet! :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  37. True Value was THE hardware store when I was a kid. I'm sure there is one near here still.

Oy, projects for 2013? My husband is in the middle of one now--he is basically reinsulating our only six-years-old home from the inside out. So there's that.

Little projects, he wants to frame out our cheapo builder mirrors, add a shelf on the open stairway to the basement, change a light fixture in the kitchen, and add some under counter lights.

Know what? I'm going to let him!

Thanks for the chance for a little help. :)

I have three kids and I am so over all the floor vents being covered by mittens and hats and neck warmers. 149. We're sticking with lots of small home improvement this year after our addition reno that we did in 2012.

I want to change the vanity, mirror, and light fixture in our 1950s bathroom. I think it might (hopefully) be an easy update until we gut. The trick is to find fixtures that will convey to the final vision!

I want to make over my foyer closet. Also my guest closet. Maybe my linen closet. Definitely the pantry.

    I want... Well, there's a lot. :)

  165. Projects for 2013 - the list is HUGE! Thanks so much for your inspiration - it gives me hope that I can get it alll done. We hope to sell the house we have been living in for the last 18 years in 2013. The kids are grown and we just don't need so many rooms any more. The biggest project will be a master bath redo before it goes on the market. Happy New Year! Kim (krowellathotmaildotcom)

  173. The only project we have left is a rock wall and raised flower beds in the front yard--not that it is a small one, but we are actually at the end of our interior jobs list!! It must be time to move, right? :) I love True Value's plants, and $100. would go a little way toward filling up the new bed! Thanks for the giveaway!

  174. Ha! I have been talking about this all day...

Caulk and paint the bookshelves in the office - no I still haven't finished. Crown moulding for kitchen cabinets, trim around windows, and interior doors, paint interior & exterior doors, beadboard, board & batten, and built ins in nearly every room in the house! Oh, and I want to design and build my own island - the ones the builder offered were all just awful. Then there are workbenches and shelves to be done in the garage and basement. I have a lot of plans for 2013. Now I just need a job so I can afford to buy the materials!

  183. Seven years ago we purchased a 1924 home in much need of some TLC. At first it was new roof, attic insulation, new furnace and now finally we have gotten to some of the cosmetic things which make a house a home. One room a year or as our savings allows. Eventually we will have all sheet rock and no more plaster and lathe. One day... I would love to win this but if we don't I think it is great you are doing this. Julie

  187. My project this year is to do away with the mini blinds through out my house. We have been in this house in NC for only 2 years. We moved here from CA to be near our 3 grandsons, and 8 year old and a set of twins that just turned 7 years old. Being from CA I was so used to now having anything on my widows and being able to leave the windows open year round. I have learned it's a bit different here but we love it. Thank you and Happy New Year!

  192. This is my first time viewing your website. I really enjoyed your ideas and can't wait to try some of them. If I won the gift card I would use it to update my master bedroom. We have lived in our home for 4 1/2 years and have spent time and money on our children's room but have not had the money to work on the master bedroom. This would be a perfect birthday gift. (Jan 10th) thanks again for your time.

  193. My husband and I just moved into our new home in October, and already have plans to paint and to put down hardwood throughout. The main living level already has hardwood, and the bedrooms have carpet, but we're planning to take it all up and put down something darker and more our taste.
