Something about it was just amiss and it was kinda too "office" looking. I have purchased lattice boards from Home Depot, cut to size, and once I assemble the map will attach the boards around it. I hope it looks as nice in person as it does in your photos. The metal framing that comes with the map, that you wrap the canvas around, was very thin so the nails went right through it. You could also glue it but the nails worked great. :) Thrifty Decor Chickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08387609050626968143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7781670590071996754.post-51416012201651680792014-03-12T16:25:12.810-04:002014-03-12T16:25:12.810-04:00Sure! There were about a hundred of them but I couldn't think of what the heck I would do with more and my hubby would've had a cow because we have no place to store them. As it stands, 2 of them are still propped in the corner of my dining room. I put one above the sofa in my living room and my son put another on the wall of his room. They're so fun and colorful. You can decoupage, cut them up & frame them, use them as wrapping paper...oh my goodness the possibilities!
I love the frame that you put around the map and the wall is perfect for it.Krissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00347525299646885923noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7781670590071996754.post-91911150827449513832013-06-14T17:04:13.796-04:002013-06-14T17:04:13.796-04:00I adore maps! Love this idea for covering a wall.

This is our first family room and it's in the basement. I've thought about removing the door upstairs. What is your opinion? I know you like to remove doors and I'm curious if you removed the basement door.
